Who runs Saw Service 3G — and what does the "3G" mean?

Kaylen (owner) and Mason (service lead) run the company day-to-day. "3G" stands for the third generation of the family business — Kaylen's father, known across Greater Houston metals as "DoAll Dave," serviced most of the saws our customers still run today. Kaylen joined in 2019 and took over in 2024.

25 years across three generations of the same family. The business started in 2001 and has been on Greater Houston metals shop floors ever since.

Are you an authorized dealer for any band saw brand?

Yes — Saw Service 3G is an authorized Hyd-Mech dealer. We also routinely service Marvel, HEM Saw, Amada, Behringer, Continental, Tsune, Nishijimax, Spartan, and many more.

Do you actually come to our facility, or do we ship the saw to you?

We come to you. Saw Service 3G is a fully mobile, on-site operation based in Spring, TX (north Greater Houston). We work directly on your floor, anywhere within a 100-mile primary radius — and we'll travel farther for the right customer.

Do you service industrial / metal band saws or woodworking band saws?

Industrial and metal band saws only — horizontal and vertical metal-cutting saws used in fab shops, machine shops, steel service centers, CNC shops, and tube & pipe yards. We don't service woodworking band saws.

Which band saw brands do you service?

Hyd-Mech (authorized dealer), Marvel, HEM Saw, Amada, Behringer, Continental, Tsune, Nishijimax, Spartan, and many more. After 25 years across the industry, if it's an industrial band saw, we've likely worked on it.

Can you handle emergency or urgent breakdowns?

Yes. Most emergency calls get a tech on-site within 72 hours, often sooner for Greater Houston customers we already work with. Call (281) 704-5589 — the faster we know, the faster we roll. Time-and-a-half applies for evening and weekend hours.

How do you price band saw repair?

Hourly with a 2–3 hour minimum (depending on location), plus travel — calculated from our shop in Spring, TX, out to your facility and back. We quote up front and bill after the job is verified done. No surprises.

What are your payment terms?

Net 30 with ACH or check. We don't currently accept credit cards. W-9 available on request.

Do you handle anchoring and relocations, or just repair?

All of it. We anchor band saws, disassemble and relocate machines between sites or plants, and handle every step of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical work in between. We don't sell or install new saws (Hyd-Mech excepted, as authorized dealer) — we set yours up to run, keep it running, and move it when you need to.

Can you fix blade tracking, drive system, and hydraulic issues on-site?

Yes. Blade tracking, drive systems, hydraulics, controls, sensors, and electrical work — diagnosed and repaired at your facility. We bring the tools and 25 years of experience; you keep your floor space.

Do you offer preventive maintenance programs?

Yes. We build scheduled PM programs around your duty cycle so wear gets caught before it becomes downtime — tracked and reported each visit.

What cities and counties do you serve out of Spring / Greater Houston?

Our primary service radius is 100 miles from our Spring, TX shop — that covers Harris, Fort Bend, Brazoria, Galveston, Montgomery, Liberty, and Walker counties. We also serve customers across Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Mississippi for larger jobs and existing accounts.
